Today we commemorate the birth of Fray Luis Beltrán, a fundamental figure in the history of the Argentine metallurgical industry. Born on September 7, 1784 in San Juan, this hero not only forged metal pieces in the foundries of El Plumerillo, but also our path to independence. With his tireless work in the creation of cannons, grenades and bullets, Luis Beltrán left a legacy that endures to this day.
